The EES questionnaire contains of 100 questions that are carefully designed to assess various aspects of an SME's operations, aiming to evaluate their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. The questionnaire covers a wide range of topics relevant to business performance, such as quality management, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, innovation, sustainability, and cybersecurity. 

Practically there are four pillars in the questionnaire:

1- Management and quality 

2- Environment management

3- Human well-being

4- Cybersecurity

Each question within the questionnaire is assigned as one score and they are designed based on their importance and impact on overall business excellence.  

Once the SME completes the questionnaire, their responses are meticulously reviewed and scored by an expert panel or an automated scoring system. This score serves as a quantitative measure of the SME's level of excellence and determines their eligibility for the EES certificate.
